Jim Charlebois is Director of Planning at Crosby Hanna. Jim has been a practicing Professional Planner for over 25 years, primarily at the municipal level, focusing on long-range policy development and neighbourhood planning. During his career, Jim has led and participated in the development of Official Community Plans (OCP) in Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan and has prepared new OCP policies and Zoning Bylaw regulations that have guided growth and development. Jim is a Registered Professional Planner in Saskatchewan (RPP) and a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP). He obtained his Master of Urban and Rural Planning from Dalhousie University in 1999 and Bachelor of Applied Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University in 1993.
In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time at the cabin, where he’s been working to create a pollinator-friendly garden of native flowers, which is becoming the inspiration for a series of watercolour and acrylic landscape paintings. Jim is also active outdoors, spending as much time as possible on his stand-up paddle board in the summer and cross-country skis in the winter.
